On Saturday 11 May 2019, Worsley College hosted their second annual family fun day event.
Between 11am and 2pm, families from across Greater Manchester came to help the college celebrate another successful year with everything from a BBQ and bouncy castle, to beauty treatments.
The college’s onsite training restaurant, The Glass House at Worsley, put on a gourmet BBQ and the burgers were to die for, they also sold homemade produce and served Pimms and lemonade for mums and dads. On top of this, their very own salon put on free face painting and glitter tattoos for the kids and providing beauty treatments for parents.
The event promised to be fun for the whole family and they did. For kids, there was a bouncy castle, balloon modelling, a slime station, air-walker, balloon characters, a fun photo-booth, soft play and story corner, amongst other activities. Parents were able to browse art and craft stalls and support local charities who will be hosting fundraising activities. There was also be an ice cream van and first aid demonstrations.
Some of the local businesses and charities attending the event include St John Ambulance, Hayfield Studios, Seasonal Words, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Kath Nuttall Artist, New Life Charity and also ourselves Laneys Crafts.
We met some lovely people throughout the day and received a lot of positive feedback about our product and the way the stall was presented.
What do you think.....
Happy Crafting Peeps
